Playstation 4 Release Day Started at Midnight Tonight

The Playstation 4 is finally available for sale after years of waiting. Gamers across the country lined up outside their local electronics stores in hoping of picking up one of the devices. The console starts at $399 and has features like enhanced social media capability and a portable device that syncs up with the PS4. The device can be taken on road trips or to a friend's house, but can still connect to your PS4.

Best Buy, along with other leading electronic stores, is holding a midnight launch event for die hard fans to attend when they first purchase their PS4. Best Buy said, "All of our stores will be utilizing signage to manage their lines along with employee assistance to ensure everyone is aware of the process throughout the day. Stores will begin processing pre-order customers prior to processing any customers purchasing a console."

There are two special events going on right now in New York and San Francisco. These two events are held by Sony and feature free food and giveaways, plus 444 PS4's will be given away at each event.
