Roberto Hernandez [5-10, 4.90 ERA] may have a different name now, but he's still the same decent pitcher. Hernandez has a fastball in the low 90s and relies on a changeup that he throws all of the time. At the end of the day the Rays will need to give him some run support if Hernandez gets behind early in the game.  

Hernandez is arguably the one weak point of that Rays rotation. The team is 7-11 when he starts. The Rays, however, are 22-8 in their last 30 games.

Boston on the other side hits right-handed pitchers very well. Right now the Red Sox are the best hitting team in baseball, post a .285 average against right-handed pitchers.

Jon Lester [8-6, 4.58] will take the hill for the Red Sox tonight. Lester is making his fourth start against the Rays this season, but is certainly not the same pitcher from a couple years ago. Will seeing Lester so many times in the same season be an advantage for the Rays lineup?

Tampa Bay is number one in baseball hitting against left-handed pitching.
