Rebecca St. James Baby: 'Wait For Me' Singer Gives Birth to Girl This Morning, 'Both Mum and Precious Baby are Doing Well'
Christian singer Rebecca St. James gave birth to a baby girl early this morning and thanked fans for their prayers.
Last week the Christian singer took to Facebook to ask fans for prayer as she and her husband prepared for their bundle of joy. "Would love prayer as my husband and I welcome our new baby into our family this week! Baby's due date is today. We are SO excited!" James posted.
Her message update immediately received floods of posts, shares and retweets in the social media universe for the couple's first born. The Grammy award-winning singer responded and said how grateful she was for the support.
Early this morning a rep for the singer posted the news of the successful delivery writing, "Wonderful news. Rebecca gave birth to a baby girl at 12:50 central this morning. Both mum and precious baby are doing well. Thanks for your prayers. Blessings. Rebecca's family."
St. James and her husband Jacob Fink were married on April of 2011. The couple opted to not know the sex of the baby until birth. The baby's name has not been revealed.
As well as being a successful singer and actress St. James is also an accomplished author. Her latest book release, The Merciful Scar, Published by Thomas Nelson, is fiction work collaboration with co-writer Nancy Rue. It addresses the controversial subject of self-injury.
Australian born St. James has had a very successful career promoting the message of hope in Christ. She is very outspoken when it comes to sexual abstinence and is also a pro-life advocate.
