'ReCore' Release News & Update: Microsoft Showcases A Patch To Accelerate Load Times

Microsoft Studios has released a patch for the lengthy loading times for its action-adventure video game "ReCore."

The patch update is designed to shorten the load times of the game in the Xbox One and Xbox One S. The said update is now available for the game's Xbox One version; however, the total extent of its efficiency and improvement are yet to be known.

According to Kotaku, the game's two-minute load to the Shifting Sands area has been shortened to one minute while the initial two-minute respawn times in Core Foundry have been cut into half. Meanwhile, "ReCore's" PC version has shorter load times, as per the publication.

In a statement, as per "ReCore's" official website, the developer mentioned that they wanted players to know that they had been listening closely, and the number one thing players had mentioned was they would like to see improvements on its load times.

"We heard you, we appreciate your patience, and we have good news," the developer said.

As per the post, some areas in the game might continue to take more time than expected to load, as they were larger zones. The developer reassured, however, that the update would improve players' overall experience traveling through Far Eden.

In terms of review, the game succeeds, even though it is played in a third-person point-of-view. According to Game Spot, "ReCore" is a modest action game that lets players explore dungeons to find power-ups and progress through the story, along with robotic companions.

Initially released on Sept. 13, "ReCore" is playable on Microsoft Windows and Xbox One.
