On the next episode of Reign Season 1, it looks like Francis is finally starting to notice how close Mary is getting with Sebastian, so he seeks out the "companionship" of Olivia who offered to be his mistress last week.

Francis was inattentive to his ex-lover, only having eyes for the precocious Scot. Mary feeling annoyed by Olivia's presence confides in Bash and the two share a kiss after a little too much to drink.

Meanwhile Queen Catherine blackmails Aylee, who was caught mid-theft, into revealing Mary's letter that correspond back to her mother in Scotland. By the end of the episode we learn the fiery young Scot had a plan all along and enlisted Aylee's help to confirm that the Queen was in fact scheming against her.

Also in last week's episode Olivia is nearly killed by pagans in the forest. Upon learning her former marriage was void because she "spent time" with Francis, both the prince and Mary both sympathize for her.

Feeling bad for neglecting Mary, Francis asks for his young suitor's forgiveness, cementing the drama between her, him and Bash for at least a few more episodes.

Reign Season 1 airs Thursday night at 9 PM on The CW.
