The highly anticipated Season 4 of 'Revenge', the hit primetime television show on ABC Network is all set to premiere on Sunday, Sept. 28, at 10 pm ET with Episode 1 entitled "Renaissance."

Following the shocking 'Revenge' Season 3 finale, fans are now eager to know what happens to Emily Throne (played by Emily VanCamp).

'Revenge' Season 4 will pick up from the dramatic incidents in the Season 3 finale and the upcoming installment is expected to have more drama-packed episodes. If the synopsis and trailer of 'Revenge' Season 4 premiere episode are any indication, fans can expect the "Renaissance" episode to be an explosive one.

Recently, ABC has released a press release teasing spoilers from 'Revenge' Season 4. Media reports say that the Season 4 premiere will see the shocking return of David Clarke, who's Emily Thorne and Charlotte's (Christa B. Allen) father, and was actually assumed to be dead.

In fact, viewers have already got a glimpse of David alive in the Season 3 finale when he gave a ride to Conrad, who was trying flee the jail. The report says that "everyone's world will turn upside down" when David actually shows up in Southampton. Now, the question is how Emily will react when she finds out that her father is alive. Thus far, Emily's entire existence revolved around avenging her father.

In addition, it will also be thrilling to see how Victoria (Madeleine Stowe) reacts when she finds out that her former secret lover, who she betrayed, is still alive.

In 'Revenge' Season 4 Episode 1 "Renaissance," viewers will see Emily arranging "her most surprising party ever." Then again, Victoria turns her biggest fears into a "dangerous advantage." In another instance, David thinks about his "next move" in Southampton.

The episode was written by Sunil Nayar and Sallie Patrick and directed by John Terlesky. Talking to TV Fanatic, Nayar, who is also the executive producer of the show, disclosed that the 'Revenge' Season 4 premiere is going to be "full of surprises" and "full of unexpected payoffs to our cliffhangers."
