The Rhett Walker Band spoke to BreatheCast on the red carpet of the K-Love Fan Awards and revealed a new album and joked about how sweaty the body of Christ was on the carpet.

"Well we have new a record coming out," said drummer Kenny Davis and "We're jumping on a tour with Plumb this fall so about the time the record comes out we'll be on the tour with Plumb, and it'll be one heck of a fun time," added Rhett Walker. The band is expected to open for Plumb on her tour in the Fall, they've also finished up their work on "The Roadshow" Arena Tour.

The band's debut album, Come to the River, was released in 2012 and spawned two singles, "When Mercy Found Me" and "Come to the River."

The Rhett Walker Band received a Grammy nomination for "Best Contemporary Christian Music Song" for "When Mercy Found Me." They also received three Dove Award nominations for "New Artist of the Year," "Rock/Contemporary Album of the Year," and "Rock/Contemporary Song of the Year."

The band is expected to bring their southern-infused rock back by the end of this year with a new, still untitled, album.
