'Rogue One' News: Latest Trailer Features More Of Darth Vader, Death Star Blowing Up A Planet

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is coming in a few days. While recent clips from the film offered a glimpse of the upcoming Disney film, nothing could have made fans even more stoked than the newest trailer that was recently released for the Chinese market.

This week, Disney dropped 30 minutes' worth of the film, offering a handful of new things that fans of "Rogue One" have never seen before. It features Director Krennic and Galen Erso and explains why the former needs the latter to return to his research. It also shows their difference of opinion when it comes to the power of the Death Star.

In the first scene, Galen is forced by Krennic, who is the one in charge of building the Death Star, to come with him to work on the planet-destroying weapon that was first introduced in the 1977 film. Since Galen owes Krennic a debt, Krennic has apparently come to Galen for his payback. Krennic knows that the senior Erso is expert in the crystals that power the weapon.

The new trailer also features more of Darth Vader, as well as a cool shot of the Death Star blowing up a planet.

In other "Rogue One" news, director Gareth Edwards revealed that George Lucas of Lucas Film particularly loved the film.

"So two days ago we got to show George the movie, and we all had a phone call and I got to speak with him yesterday. I don't wanna put words into his mouth but I can honestly say that I can die happy now. He really liked the movie, so it meant a lot. To be honest, and no offense to anyone here, it was the most important review to me," said Edwards.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" hits theaters on December 16. Watch the trailer below.
