Samsung Galaxy A3 Review: Budget-Friendly Smartphone Resembling iPhone 5s to Arrive Soon
The Korean tech titan Samsung is all set to release its latest Samsung Alpha series of smartphones. In effect, the company will be launching three new smartphones, A3, A5, and A7, all of them featuring metallic edges. However, the Federal Communications Commission has only approved the release of the A3 so far.
The design of Galaxy A3 is said to be similar to that of Apple's iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s. This sleek new phone is the cheapest amongst the upcoming the three Samsung Alpha series handsets. Even though this smartphone is the cheapest of the three, techies are still excited as its design is something to write home about.
Beyond that, the design of the Galaxy A3 will also be somewhat of a change for Samsung consumers as its frame is made metallic instead of the usual plastic.
Even though the Galaxy A3 will resemble an iPhone 5 or iPhone 5s, it allots for two SIM cards instead of 1.
However, being an inexpensive phone, the specs of Galaxy A3 are not all that impressive. The handset comes with 64-bit processor, low resolution display, and a 5MP front camera. It has an internal storage of just 8GB.
Since the Galaxy A3 is only the first model in Samsung's Alpha Series, if a consumer finds that model unsatisfactory, they'd be wise to wait for the other models to release.
TechTimes says that the camera capabilities of the Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 as well as Galaxy A7 are quite satisfactory. The handsets come with an 8-megapixel rear camera that's supported by a 5-megapixel front-facing shutter perfect for video chatting and selfies.
While the Galaxy A3 seems to be positioned on the lower end of the spectrum of Alpha Series smartphones, Samsung has yet to release a price for the device.
It has been reported that Samsung is preparing to release an iPhone-like device, but with a budget-friendly price tag.
