Samsung Galaxy Gear Released in the U.S. [MORE DETAILS INSIDE] Samsung Galaxy Gear Official Commercial [WATCH NOW]
Samsung's smart watch Galaxy Gear has made its way into the states. The South Korean tech giant released the watch earlier this month for $299 and they have been pushing out large amounts of money to promote the smart watch.
Like any first generation gadget there are set limitations as to what the smart-watch can do and still some kinks that need to be worked as well.
Galaxy Gear's display comes in at 1.63-inches and is touch-sensitive, which allows owners to navigate through the watch. Owners also have a choice to use S Voice, which is Samsung's version of Apple's Siri voice communication.
S Voice allows the user to make calls, send texts, and launch apps hands-free through talking into their watch as if they were a spy.
To wake the watch up and show its main screen, owners can either raise their arm or tap its power button.
The "favorite apps" included on the watch are the photo gallery, pedometer, notifications, and others that can be added by the user by using the Gear Manager app, which the user has to install on their smartphone and sync over to their Galaxy Gear.
Users can use the camera built into the watch by swiping downward on the screen, which is also the motion used to go back when the user is inside their apps.
