Galaxy Note 4 Release Date, Specs: 5.9 Inch Screen, Waterproof

Samsung Galaxy Note fans are eagerly counting down the days before the latest version of this very popular phablet series hits the market. Rumors and speculation are already starting to build for the Galaxy Note 4.

Experts are predicting that If Samsung's past decisions with regards to design and other specifications are basis as to what the Note 4 will be, then perhaps the new design will mimic certain elements of the S5 and Galaxy Note 3.

It is reported that the Galaxy Note 4 will have the same stylus, but with more sensitivity and updated with a lot more commands and buttons. It will also have a bigger screen than the Note 3's 5.7 inch AMOLED screen.

Samsung is known to increase its phablets' screen size in increments with each new version, so the Note 4 could have a 5.9 inch screen, as well as dustproof and waterproof capabilities.

The official image of this phablet has yet to be released, but tech fans are guessing that the design inspiration may be lifted either from the dimpled rubber back cover of the S5 or the faux leather of the Galaxy Note 3. The S5's fingerprint sensor is also expected to be found on the Note 4.

There is a possibility that Samsung will debut its own hex or octa-core processor specifically for the Galaxy Note 4. As for the operating system, whether the Galaxy Note 4 launches with Android 4.4 KitKat or the Android L largely depends on whether Google can finish the newest version of its operating system in time.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to make its debut in the first week of September of this year.
