Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Release Date, Specs, Price Rumors: Galaxy Note 8 Canceled After Note 7 Fiasco?

Following the halt in the production of Samsung Galaxy Note 7, recent reports about the Galaxy Note lineup suggest that the tech company has decided to cancel Galaxy Note 8, which is expected to arrive next year.

Recently, Samsung has been through a rough patch after the recall and ultimate termination of the Galaxy Note 7 production. Due to this fiasco, fans are now wondering if Samsung will ever make a comeback with its rumored Galaxy Note 8.

Galaxy Note 8 is expected to come out sometime in 2017, since the tech giant is known to release at least two iterations from its two flagship lineups yearly. Early this 2016, Samsung released its Galaxy S7 lineup, while its Galaxy Note 7 saw a late-year launch.

While fans already look forward to the release of Galaxy Note 8 next year, there are rumors that Samsung has already decided to ditch its Galaxy Note series altogether after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco. Rumor has it that the Korea-based company will release just a single flagship every year starting next year with its Galaxy S8.

As of this writing, talks about the cancellation of Galaxy Note 8 remain unconfirmed. Recently, an official from one of the third-party partners of Samsung was quoted as saying, "Samsung has not notified its suppliers of the plan to scrap the current two-flagship models strategy, but if so that could impact the parts suppliers to some extent."

If Samsung cancels Galaxy Note 8, then the Galaxy S8 will be in the spotlight for the whole year. This phone is rumored to feature a faster processor and a much bigger RAM, as well as an iris scanner and dual camera setup.
