Samsung Galaxy S4 Specs: Samsung Answers Galaxy S4 Storage Problems with Micro SD Card Slot / Hi-Res Display or More Storage? [VIDEO]
Samsung Galaxy S4 news:
Ever since Samsung released the latest installment of their flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S4, the company's been under fire for several drawbacks regarding specs.
The biggest concern is internal storage. Customers who bought the 16GB version of the phone are upset about the space left after the operating system and proprietary apps are installed. Before the phone user takes one photo, or uploads one song, roughly half of the Galaxy S4's internal storage is filled, leaving only 8.82GB of free space.
"For the Galaxy S4 16GB model, approximately 6.85GB occupies system part of internal memory, which is 1GB bigger than that of the Galaxy S3, in order to provide high resolution display and more powerful features to our consumers," Samsung told CNET. "To offer the ultimate mobile experience to our users, Samsung provides microSD slot on Galaxy S4 for extension of memory."
Samsung doesn't understand why users would be upset about the S4's storage concerns, when the massively successful Galaxy S3 had the same issue. Along with a micro SD slot, the Galaxy S4 has top of the line specs and features. The Galaxy S4 runs on the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and zips from task to task with industry leading 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (could be octa-core Eynos 5 in some countries). The Galaxy S4 also boasts a Full HD AMOLED display, a 13MP camera that also supports 1080p HD video.
Galaxy S4 users have the choice of buying 16, 32 and 64GB with the option of an SD card that can add an extra 64GB of storage.
