Let's start by size and weight. Both smartphones are incredibly light and weigh in at the exact same amount of 130 grams. The Nexus 5 is exaclty 1.2mm taller than Samsungs Galaxy S4 and nearly 0.6mm narrower than the Galaxy as well. Though the thickness of both phones aren't really a deal breaker, the Galaxy S4 beats the Nexus by half a millimeter. Yet, most people are agreeing on the fact that the new Google Nexus 5 is the easiest and most comfortable phone to hold. Now Processor and Ram wise, the Nexus 5 beats the Samsung with a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor with 2.3GHz, and Samsung following behind with a 1.9GHz chip. The Nexus 5 also has a bit more graphic compatibility to it with having a Adreno 330 GPU, which is completely capable of putting out more than 4K on a video. Meaning, the Nexus 5 puts out twice the computing performance than Samsungs Galaxy S4. Internal storage is the same in either phones, you have the choice of 32GB or 16GB. The only difference would be that Samsung lets you drop in the SD card for added storage and extra space. The RAM space is also the same in both phones marking at 2GB .

Now the Nexus 5 screen size isn't exaclty five inches like the Samsung Galaxy S4, but the visuals to the  phone are much better by offering a smaller screen with a crisp, clear display. Yet, Samsung does win the camera award with having a total 15-megapixels, 2-megpixels in the front and 13-megapixels in the back, while Nexus 5 carries 8-megapixels. Google is known for their software and their great technology devices, so when the Nexus 5 was rumored to be coming out all fans went towards the Nexus. With Google's new phone, your getting the most updated software they have to offer which is the new 4.4 KitKat allowing the user to be at the front of the line in updates. Long story, short, the Nexus 5 is a phone that doesn't consist of all the added bloatware that comes with Samsung's apps and downloads, it is a purely simple android phone that comes with alot of great compatibility. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the same way, but the extra software provided on the GS4 may become tiresome.
