Samsung Galaxy S6 Release Date, Specs Rumors: Flagship Smartphone Breaks the Mold, New Full-Metal Casing

Latest rumors about the Samsung Galaxy S6 claim that the highly anticipated Korean mobile device might be released in just a matter of months - about 8 months, to be precise. According to reports, Samsung is expected to follow its traditional timeline in releasing its flagship Smartphone, which is usually in April of each year.

The latest Samsung Galaxy S6 phone is expected to bear upgrades and features far beyond consumer expectations, dissimilar to what the company has done with the previous upgrades on its flagship mobile phone, where the changes had been barely noticeable.

Reports claim that the Samsung Galaxy S6 will finally break the long-running Samsung tradition of encasing its high-tech Galaxy S phones in plastic shells by featuring a full-metal body this time. Apart from this, the S6 is also expected to have a slightly larger display than its predecessor, reportedly with a 5.2" to 5.3" screen with 3.8K-4K x 2.16K pixel resolution- an even more vivid display than the previous S models.

Software-wise, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is almost certain to run on Google's latest Android edition which is expected to be released sometime next month, the Android L (Lollipop) operating system. According to reports, the S6 is highly likely to use either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 or Snapdragon 810 chipset, both of which with 64-bit architecture, and Adreno 430 GPU as co-processor to support high-resolution videos and images.

Speculation suggests that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone is likely to be priced in the same price range as its predecessor, the Samsung Galaxy S5, when it was launched.
