Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, Rumors: Specs Hint Of A Note 7 Hybrid?
Early Samsung Galaxy S8 leak revealed that the technology, at least the one that's working, of the Note 7 might be revived to be utilized into the new flagship.
Forbes speculated the Y-OCTA screen that was first installed in the Galaxy Note 7 might be utilized in the Samsung Galaxy S8. According to the leak, the technology successfully embedded the sensors in the display panel itself rather than lathering a layer of touch sensors on top of the display.
That will result into two things: the company cutting on costs in the display (which will hopefully reduce the price tag of the unit), and second, Samsung putting out a thinner smart phone.
Samsung Galaxy S8 leak reports have already pointed out to the lack of physical home button on the smart phone, along with a fingerprint sensor in the screen. That will mean a trailblazing device that could revolutionize the way smart phones are built.
The article also said that some of the technology in the Note 7 would be brought over to the Samsung Galaxy S8. One of the advantages of the massive recall was that people did not have enough time to develop an opinion on the Note 7.
That gives the South Korean firm the opportunity to reintroduce some of the cutting-edge technology into the Samsung Galaxy S8. For the price, it's expected that Samsung Galaxy S8 will range from $650 to as much as $800.
For instance, DigitalTrends noted that earlier Samsung Galaxy S8 leak pointed to the Bluetooth 5.0 being installed on the phone. That would make it the first device in the market to double the network speed and result to four times the range. In terms of specs, it will reportedly be run by the Exynos 8895 processor or Snapdragon 835 and mated to the Mali-G71 GPU.
