Good news for those living in the U.K. as the Samsung Gear S3 release date in that part of the world has been announced to be this week at the price of £349 for the smart watch.

The Samsung Gear S3 features a 1.3-inch 360x360 round face AMOLED screen, with a 1GHz dual-core processor, 4GB of storage, 768MB of RAM and a 380mAh battery. It's also said to be waterproof, one of the many bells and whistles, which also include its sensors, GPS, connectivity options, altimeter and barometer.

The smart watch is going to run Samsung's own Tizen operating system instead of Android Wear, which powers most smart watches. That means there might not be too much third-party app support.

Express reported that one of the updates for Samsung Gear S3 is that it comes with a 22mm watch band, which makes it easy to find replacements in the market.

The Samsung Gear S3 has two designs: The Frontier and the Classic, which people can snag during the release date.

In related news, Phone Arena held an in-house survey among its readers to find out if they are buying the new Samsung Gear S3. The results reveal that more than 3 in 10 or about 37% are in love with the Frontier model.

Meanwhile, 164 of those who participated in the survey are taking the conservative approach as they are waiting on reviews of the Samsung Gear S3 before arriving at a final decision. Meanwhile, 160 said that they will be buying the Classic model.
