Samsung Unpacked 2015 Start Time & Live Stream News: Galaxy Note 5, S6 Edge Plus and 'Mystery' Device Expected [VIDEO]
Latest reports suggest that the South Korean tech titan has already confirmed that it will be launching two new devices - the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5, at its upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled to be held in New York City on Aug. 13.
According to IB Times, apart from the fact that the release of the two devices have already excited Samsung fan, a teaser released by the company early this month may have offered some glimpses of what people can expect in the upcoming Unpacked event.
On the basis of an image of the teaser, which shows the edges of the upcoming devices, there were not two, but three devices, which have led fans and experts alike to speculate the launch of a mystery device on the same Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event.
WCCF Tech reports that the third device may possibly be a new tablet from the South Korean tech giant.
Meanwhile, Phone Arena reports that rumors claim that Samsung may come out with a Galaxy S6 Mini, as these are the hype these days, with nearly all tech companies developing a smaller version of high-end flagships.
The report WCCF Tech displayed an image of the purported 'Galaxy S6 Mini,' wherein the phone's model appears in the device's screen. The tech news website further claimed that the image was not at all falsified.
Forbes has also speculated that the design of supposed mini would be same as that of the Galaxy S6, denoting that it will come with the same metal frame and glass panels. However, the purported device will have a downgraded system so that it is more affordable compared to the premium flagship device.
While no further details on the mini version of Galaxy S6 are available now, online rumors suggest that the specs of the purported include a Snapdragon 808 SoC processor, along with 2GB RAM, a 4.6- or 4.7-inch 720p display and 15-megapixel camera.
However, it is important to note that the specs of the above-mentioned versions of a "mystery device" are mere speculations and people will only have to wait for Aug. 13.
A live streaming will be available, which will begin at 8.00 p.m PDT on Aug. 13.
