San Francisco Giants vs Washington Nationals Live Stream Free: Watch MLB Playoffs 2014 Online
The San Francisco Giants faces the Washington Nationals on October 3 at Nationals Park in Washington, District of Columbia. The game will start at 3:07 pm ET and can be watched online through live stream via the link provided below (free for subscribers).
The Nationals (96-66) hosts the Giants (88-74) when their young ace pitcher Stephen Strasburg (14-11, 3.14 ERA) takes the pitching mound this Friday afternoon.
Nationals superstar Ryan Zimmerman recently talked about returning to the playoffs after his team surprisingly missed the postseason last year.
"That's what we learned the last time: Nothing is easy. Every out is hard. Every strike is hard. Everything is so magnified. Every play is huge. When you're in the game, you don't really think about it. After the game, you're like, 'That was exhausting.' It's a fun exhausting," said Zimmerman to reporters.
"Mentally, physically, every game is do-or-die. I think maybe the biggest thing we learned is what to expect on that level - not so much the physical part but just the toll it takes on you to compete in that situation for nine innings."
Meanwhile, the Giants starter Jake Peavy (7-13, 3.73 ERA) will try to silence the Nationals potent offense when both teams battle each other in Game 1 of the NLDS.
On October 1, the Giants defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NL Wildcard game by a final score of 8-0.
The Giants advanced the NLDS round of the playoffs after Madison Bumgarner's dominant and complete game shutout performance, which was highlighted by striking out 10 Pirate batters in the aforementioned game this past Wednesday.
"It was just a big game for us," said Bumgarner to reporters, "Obviously it was win or go home. Maybe I was a little selfish because I wanted a complete game. I really wanted to stay out there."
The game will starts at 3:07 pm ET and can be watched on TV on the FS1 network or online through live stream by clicking here.
