'Satan In The Bedroom' / Texas Pastor Says God's Purpose for Marriage Is In Danger
Pastor Blake Wilson is notorious for his anti-gay beliefs. His message, which he claims is rooted in the Bible, advocates same-sex marriage and "pious intimacy." Pastor Blake Wilson's words have reached churches across the country. The Houston, Texas pastor of Crossover Bible Fellowship is preparing for his 'Sex and the Gospel' conference which features conversations about Satan's influence in the bedroom. Wilson claims Satan can be just as present in the bedroom as God should be.
Wilson's nondenominational church boasts approximately 800 strong. Wilson teaches his church, which has a strong youth presence, that sexuality is a line drawn in the sand that divides warring ideologies. Wilson tells his congregation that God intended marriage as a means to procreate and 'raise up godly offspring.' Wilson also believes that Satan has been attacking godly marriage since the beginning of man, referencing Genesis 3 that tells the story of an Edenic serpent successfully tempting Adam and Eve to stray from God. According to Wilson, man has been ruined sexually ever since. The southern pastor urges his congregation to follow God's blueprint instead of deciding his/her own sexual agenda.
Wilson includes this piece of scripture as inspiration for his polarizing message.
"According to Psalm 119:9-11, the Bible talks about how a young person can keep their way pure, and it says by living according to the Word. Well if a person doesn't have a word to live by, they're not taught a word to live by, then they're going to fail."
