Christina Aguilera and A Great Big World, "Say Something" Single: Music Video, New Album, Review
Christina Aguilera has made more than a comeback this year with her new rocking body,wardrobe, and another classical hit single that will hopefully lead to a new album. Christina and A Great Big World have collaborated together to make a beautiful emotional ballad that will most likely make anyone shed a tear titled, "Say Something". The single that was released in early November hit No. 1 on iTunes charts, and is continuing to rise on Billboard. "The Voice" coach initially gave fans a sneak peek of the single on a episode of "The Voice" this season, than gave a remarkable performance with A Great Big World at this year AMA's. The lyrics show such great emotional power as the song tell's the story of three different people. One being a elderly man hugging his wife as she lies on the hospital bed deceased, and a women leaving her boyfriend on the verge of a breakup. The third story shows a young girl hiding from the world, as her dog hides under her bed beneath her. As you see each story grow in it's own timeline, the lyrics to "Say Something" hit home with every person watching.
Christina is alone in a little black dress, as she lends her soulful vocals to A Great Big World. Ian Axel and Chad Vaccarino of A Great Big World are playing piano, as well as singing in the perfomance of "Say Something". Christina stated in an interview that the single, "Say Something", came to her in a very oppurtune time and that she was very inspired by the lyrics. "It came to me at a time when I'm feeling very inspired," she said during an interview featured onYouTube. "It's so simple and it's so quiet and still and steady and, in a way, pleading to hear something ... to hear some kind of answer or get an answer in the most humble, unassuming, non-demanding way." While there has been no official reports on wether or not Christina is in the process of making an eighth album, rumors has it she has already recorded eight new songs.
