Scandal Season 3 Episode 5 "More Cattle, Less Bull" [FULL RECAP] [WATCH NOW] 

This week on Scandal new client, Josephine Marcus, a Democratic congresswoman is now running for President. Josie calls Olivia in for a meeting and Olivia is hired right on the spot. Josie confesses t Olivia that she doesn't need a campaign, but that she needs someone to make the baby she gave up for adoption at 15 to disappear. Olivia advises her to come out and tell the truth, but she doesn't listen.

Olivia and her Gladiators make their way to Josie's hometown in Montana and pay off Josie's high-school best-friends and make contact with the baby's daddy before a news crew that was tipped off by Cyrus and Co.

Cyrus unknowingly tips off Olivia that the White House knows more about Josie as she thinks and he attempts to hire Olivia to dig up more of the dirt. Things quickly take an ugly turn when we find out that the baby turns out to be the woman we know as Josie's sister, Candice, who still doesn't know the truth about her sister/mother.

Cyrus leaks the teen adoption story just in time for the Democratic debate. Josie is still sticking by her guns to not admit anything, but her competitor Reston has been informed of the story, which he'll use against her in the debate. Josie then realizes that she has no choice, but to confess to the allegations.

Josie makes a beautiful, heartfelt speech about making a mistake and giving up a child, and it only makes the public love her more. Watching the debate with Fitz, Mellie, et al, even Cyrus has to admit, "She just won America's heart."

Unfortunately there will be no victory celebration for Olivia because she is fired right afterwards, but other opportunities arise for her.

Olivia attends the White House Correspondents' dinner with Jake. When she arrives she is taken away to what she thought would be a one-on-one with Fitz, but it's actually a meeting with his wife, Mellie. After a conversation Mellie had with Leo, who shined light on the fact that the President is too defeated and sex-starved without Olivia, who Mellie refers to as his "whore."

Mellie begs Olivia to be his campaign manager saying, "He's not alive when you're not here, You're everything to him." This is a pretty hard pill to swallow, a woman asking her husband's mistress to re-join their inner-circle, but in this case when you're as hungry as Mellie is for power you'll stoop to any low.

Olivia is faced with the decision to re-join forces with the man she loves and help him win re-election or join forces with Lisa Kudrow and take him down.
