The Scoop on 2 Chainz: Arrest and Charges Stemming From 9 Hour Standoff With Police. VIDEO FOOTAGE of the Rapper Wearing Shorts and Leggings During Arrest!
Tauheed Epps formally known as rapper "2 Chainz" was released from jail today at 1:35 pm after he and his entourage of eleven were arrested for refusing to get off a tour bus for close to nine hours. 2 Chainz had performed with Lil' Wayne and T.I. that Wednesday night in Oklahoma. The police stopped 2 Chainz's bus around midnight near I-40 for an "illegal taillight" and they somehow noticed "drug use" on the bus, Officer Jennifer Wardlow wouldn't go into details.
The driver of the bus was in fact arrested but, "as he exited the bus the doors shut and locked and officers couldn't get onto the bus. The remaining people on the bus refused to leave the vehicle and officers towed it to a nearby police training facility about 4 miles away." Wardlow said.
Police investigators obtained a warrant on all eleven people and got them off the bus around 9 am. They were arrested and charged with obstructing a police officer. 2 chainz and entourage were all released after paying a $2000 bail. It was said that investigators found narcotics on the bus, but there is no telling who they belonged to and charges could later be filed for whomever they belonged to.
2 Chainz was acquitted of marijuana charges earlier this year that stemmed from the same predicament, a simple traffic stop on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Stay tunes for more news and updates on the case.
