Christian artist and American Idol alum (Season 11), Colton Dixon, made a special guest performance last night on American Idol.  Dixon had hinted that he was going to be performing his new single, but had kept it under wraps with exactly which song it would be.  He wanted it to be a surprise for his fans and get people to tune in.  

Well the wait is over and we now know that his new single being released to radio is his song, "Love Has Come For Me".  He gave a strong performance with a lot of energy and it is just so cool to see his Christian music hitting such a wide audience and platform.  Third Day even got a shout out on the show since Dixon is on tour opening for them right now.  

After his performance, host Ryan Seacrest did a short interview with Dixon and they spoke on his new found success, his new record and current contestant Angie Miller choosing to do his song, "Never Gone, a few weeks back on Idol.  Dixon praised Angie's performance of his song saying, "she killed it, it was great."
