'Sense8' Season 2 Premiere News: Episode 1 Airs On This Christmas, Remaining Episodes In Next Year

Since the end of its previous season, fans of "Sense8" have been waiting for updates on the release of its second installment.

Recent reports about the hit Netflix series point to an early 2017 release date of "Sense8" season 2.

Actress Jamie Clayton, who plays Nomi Marks, earlier revealed that the premiere episode of "Sense8" season 2 will air sometime during the Christmas season, while the rest of the episodes will air in 2017. While the actress did not reveal the official release date of the remaining episodes, there are speculations that they will arrive in January 2017.

The "Sense8" production has not yet confirmed the early 2017 release date rumors, but fans are confident that the new episodes will be released in January since filming for the new series already wrapped up last month.

Meanwhile, 11 pages of the script for the upcoming season have reportedly been leaked online. It is unclear if the leaked documents are legitimate at all but they reveal that a new character is set to join the series for its second season.

"Sense8" season 2 will see the return of Teagan, Nomi, Diego and Riley. The show's official Instagram page also recently confirmed that Bae Doona's Sun, Max Rielmelt's Wolgang and Tony Onwumeere's Capheus will also be joining season 2.

Last month, Clayton hinted that the network will air something in the next couple of months. Since Netflix has not yet confirmed the exact return date of the series, fans can rely on Jamie Clayton's statements earlier this year that its premiere episode will air sometime during Christmas while the rest of the episodes will come early next year.
