Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet & Theo James in Divergent Trailer (VIDEO) Release Date 2014

Divergent has released the first look at the thriller movie starring Shailene Woodley, Kate Winslet, and Theo James with their new trailer.

The setting for the new film is set in the future in Chicago but the city is divided up into five factions based on people's personality traits. Shailene plays a woman named Beatrice and she does not fit into any of the factions and is considered a "divergent."

She is seen as a threat to the orderly society because of her inability to work with a specific personality group. 

Beatrice wants to break free from under the reign of their brutal leader and she will do anything she can to make this happen. 

The movie is based off of author Veronica Roth's books and is a three part series. 

Some have made early comparisons to The Hunger Games because of the 3-part nature and young people fighting for their lives in a futuristic society.  

Divergent is set to release to theaters on March 3, 2014.
