A fan-favorite "Gallagher ex" is set to return to the lives of the family in the upcoming episode of "Shameless."

The newfound insanity of TV's most dysfunctional family was the main highlight of "Shameless" season 7, episode 3, as viewers of the series witnessed how each member of the family went through significant stages in their lives.

Catermatt reported on Wednesday that at some point this season, a major Gallagher love interest will return. While the identity of the "ex" was not disclosed, the site offered up some hints as to who the returning character is.

The character is reportedly someone that viewers of the series have not seen for a little while. Also, the breakup was particularly messy. Other sources also suggest that as soon as the returning character breaks free from his/her current commitments, it will finally be time to rekindle his/her romance with the member of the Gallagher family in question.

The return of the character is a good indication that time can heal all wounds and that a member of the Gallagher family will soon be ready to give another shot at love. Fans believe that a new relationship this season will be very beneficial to keep up the spirits of its viewers.

It remains unknown as to when the character will first turn up this season, but it is speculated that he/ she will return soon.

Meanwhile, episode 4, titled "I Am A Storm," will see another crazy turn of events for the family, especially for Fiona, who is finally up to the challenge of improving her business.
