Soulful gospel singer Jonathan McReynolds stopped by the BREATHEcast studio as he's gearing up to release his sophomore album Life Music: Stage Two, on Friday, September 18. He shared his journey for this new record, his duet with multiple Grammy award winning singer India Arie and more.

The album features the singles "Pressure," and "Gotta Have You," McReynolds has mixed a wonderful group of sounds on his album, melding acoustic, gospel, pop sounds and more with powerful lyrics.

"I wrote my first album as a college student. This second album, as a college teacher. My life has changed - different pressures, more revelation, more musical ideas," McReynolds said in a press release. "The one thing that hasn't: my approach to songwriting. Still aiming to be transparent and genuine. Message first."

He collaborated with producers and artists that include India Arie, Chuck Harmony, Claude Kelly, Warryn Campbell, PJ Morton, Derek Minor, DJ Camper and Israel Houghton.
