Singer-Songwriter Leslie Woods Releasing New Single "Faithful To The End" On Aug. 31; Pre-Orders Available Now
Singer-songwriter and recording artist Leslie Woods is releasing her first new music in three years with the single, "Faithful to the End," releasing on Aug. 31 on INOV8 Music Group. The new song is going for adds today at Christian INSPO/Soft AC and Christian AC-formatted radio stations and is now available for pre-order on iTunes.
"Faithful to the End" was written by a dynamic songwriting team comprised of Drew Ley, Sean Hill, and Ashley Fruhling. Honored as Songwriter of the Year at the 13th annual ChristianSongwriting.com competition, Ley has written with numerous notable songwriters, including Micah Tyler, Jennie Riddle, Dustin Smith, Krissy Nordhoff, and Matt Armstrong. An instrumental piano piece by Ley is played regularly on The Weather Channel.
First expressing a desire to be a Christian singer at the tender age of three, Woods has been likened to artists such as Kari Jobe, Natalie Grant, and Hillsong United. A self-professed "extroverted overcomer, " Woods was diagnosed with epilepsy at 14.
While living with the disorder often left her feeling ostracized, Woods says she came to embrace the words she attributes to Eleanor Roosevelt, "No one can make you feel inferior without your permission."
Woods's first project, Just Me, included a bonus DVD a featured the No. 1 song, "Fall Down." The song which played on more than 250 outlets, topped the CRC Weekly, CRC Monthly, and CRC Quarterly charts.
In a YouTube video for her song, "Clueless," also off Just Me, the singer is roller skating at a rink and the video has garnered approximately 38,000 views.
The follow-up to Just Me was Woods's six-song EP titled, Resound, which included worship songs such as, "It Is well," "To God Alone," and "At Your Name."
