In a year when the family of God couldn't physically gather in houses of worship around the world, Phil Wickham wrote songs primed for communal praise. Throughout the process of crafting new music during a global pandemic that created unprecedented obstacles for the local church, Wickham saw an opportunity - the church wasn't relegated to a building. It was happening in the homes and hearts. As his heart longd for eternity, Wickham set out to express this universally experienced awakening, resulting in his eighth studio album, 'Hymn of Heaven' (Fair Trade Services).

Co-founder of Bethel Music, songwriter, singer, and speaker, Brian Johnson has been an executive producer for over 16 albums by Bethel Music. He co-wrote his latest single "God of Revival" with Phil Wickham as a fervent prayer and cry for the God of revival to awaken His people again, and pour out His Spirit on families, cities, and nations.

Wickham and Johnson sat down together and talked about their collaborative songwriting processes and struggles behind the top streaming hits of Christian music in 2021, including 'Living Hope,' 'Battle Belongs,' and the newest release, 'Hymn of Heaven.'
