'Sonic Mania' News, Release Date, Features, Collector's Edition: Game Rolling Out In Europe?
The latest "Sonic Mania" news should be a welcome one for Europe as SEGA is sending the Collector's Edition for the beloved speedster to the continent. The release date is slated for next year.
Previously, it was reported that "Sonic Mania" Collector's Edition release date won't make it to Europe. But now, those who will order the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for £79.99 can also get the download code, said the report. It's reportedly available in the UK, France, Spain and Germany.
The other features of this "Sonic Mania" collector's edition are:
- 12-inch classic statue of Sonic
- Sega Cartridge cast with a gold ring
- deluxe Collector's Box
When they turn on the switch, the "SEEGAA" startup audio will automatically play.
It's clear what SEGA is going for in offering the "Sonic Mania" add-ons. The developer is trying to spark nostalgia to those gamers who tried their hands--and loved--the 2D game over two decades ago. The startup audio when they flip on the switch is proof of this because it's only going to be familiar to them.
Again, they can choose to play Sonic, Tails the Fox or Knuckles as they go against Dr. Eggman anew in entirely new environments and game zones.
Fans can already start ordering the game now to be the first to get their hands on the "Sonic Mania" collector's edition.
The release date for "Sonic Mania" Collector's Edition is slated for spring of 2017. Watch out for more news which will be published before then.
