James D. Vaughan Quartet Festival Hosted by The Kellys to Feature Ernie Haase & Signature Sound, Gold City, McKameys And Many More
The all quartet event, James D. Vaughan Quartet Festival will be holding three nights of southern music celebration in Lawrenceburg, TN, a birthplace of Southern Gospel Music.
James D. Vaughan Quartet Festival will be held from July 26, till July 28, 2012 in Crockett Theater, Lawrenceburg, TN. The Kellys will be the host quartet and will appear each evening.
July 26th will be an evening with Ernie Haase & Signature Sound. July 27th on the other hand will be a friends and family night with McKameys, Inspirations, and Dixie Melody Boys. Last evening, July 28th will feature all male quartets such as Gold City, The Kingsmen, Mark Trammell Quartet. Saturday afternoon will also feature The Diplomats and LeFerve Quartet starting at 1pm.
James D. Vaughan Quartet Festival will be the time to experience beautiful harmonies of southern gospel quartets and deep messages presented in songs.

James D. Vaughan from Lawrenceburg, Tennessee is recognized as the 'Father of Southern Gospel Music'. Vaughan sponsored the first professional southern gospel quartet formations. He also established the first magazine dedicated to southern gospel music, as well as first southern gospel radio. Vaughan was the first to record southern gospel quartets and established Vaughan School of Music to teach people of the South how to sing. Because of Vaughan's works, the United States Congress declared Lawrenceburg, TN the Birthplace of Southern Gospel Music.
