Star Wars 7 Plot, Cast Rumors / No News at D23, Summer 2015 Release Date

Though some were hoping for some Star Wars 7 spoilers at this year's D23, Alan Horn was not in the giving mood. The former Warner Bros. executive kept his lips relatively sealed when talking about the upcoming Star Wars movie.

"I remember being blown away by the film in 1977," Horn began. "After watching it I was driving home and a policeman pulled me over. He said, 'Why are you going 80 miles-per-hour down Wilshire Boulevard?' And I said, 'I have to get to lightspeed.'"

Great story Horn. We all love Star Wars. Now get to the juicy bits, address some of the plot rumors and possible cast members!

Nada. All Horn confirmed was some of what we already know:

- Kathleen Kennedy, producer
- John Williams, composer
- Michael Arndt, screenplay
- J.J. Abrams, director

According to Star Wars fan site Jedi News, "an unnamed source has informed us that Ian McDiarmid is set to return to the galaxy far, far away for a part in Episode 7."

Chances are McDiarmid will be back to play the role he was born for, Emperor Palpatine.

"Whether as the original [Palpatine] or a clone of, we are yet to discern," McDiarmid said [Metro].
