Star Wars Episode 7 Movie Casting News and Rumors: Billy Dee Williams to Return as Lando Calrissian as Film's Shooting Schedule Is Revealed

In the latest Star Wars news and rumors actor Billy Dee Williams may reprise his role Lando Calrissian in the new film. According to the Hit Flix Report, it seems like almost every major character will return in Star Wars Episode VII, which may also include Billy Dee Williams returning as Lando.

Just recently, it did not seem that Williams would be returning in the next installment of the sci-fi film franchise. Williams recently reprised his role as Lando Calrissian in "The Lego Movie" this year.

The report does not explain if Peter Mayhew would reprise his role as Han Solo's sidekick Chewbacca. It is confirmed that R2D2 will return but it is still unknown if Kenny Baker will reprise his role as the man behind the R2-D2 suit. Nevertheless, it does seems like both of those characters should return in the new movie.

Other Star Wars casting news include former "High School Musical" star Zac Efron may also star in the new film.

"I just went and met with [producers]," said Efron to MTV in a recent interview adding, "So I don't know. It would be cool. I love [the Star Wars movies], I love them, but ... who knows?"

According to the Hitfix article, Star Wars Episode VII will begin filming in mid-May and is expected to come to an end in September 2014.

Star Wars Episode VII will make its long awaited return to the big screen on December 18 2015.
