'Star Wars: Episode 8' Spoilers, News: Actor Adam Driver Does Not Want Any 'Star Wars: Episode 8' Trailer

Almost a year before "Star Wars: Episode 8" hits theaters, the film creators still do not have any title for the new "Star Wars" sequel.

While "Star Wars" followers expect the upcoming film to follow its predecessors when it comes to galaxy-load of promotional materials prior to film release, one of the "Star Wars: Episode 8" lead stars thinks otherwise.

Speaking about the marketing for the eighth Skywalker saga film, actor Adam Driver, who is set to play Kylo Ren, said that it would be fun if the upcoming film would not have any trailer at all.

During the promotion for Martin Scorsese's "Silence," the actor said it would be best if Disney would not release a trailer for the movie.

"I think that'd be bold. I'd love it, yeah! Then no one would know anything. The less people know, I feel like, the more exciting, the more of an event it is," said Driver.

Driver's statement has drawn various reactions from "Star Wars" fans. Some thought it was the worst idea for a "Star Wars" film ever while some thought that would be fun.

While Driver's idea sounds fun for some, Driver's idea will never happen, considering the huge budget allocated for the film. Besides, television advertising for movies is known as one of the most instrumental drivers to the box office.

Meanwhile, fans can expect Disney to release the first preview trailer for "Star Wars: Episode 8" in the coming months. The film hits cinemas on December 15, 2017.
