Rap Mogul "Suge" Knight Arrested in Los Angeles for Outstanding Warrant
Rap Mogul Marion "Suge" Knight was arrested in Los Angeles for a warrant on a misdemeanor count when he was stopped for a routine traffic violation. Knight was released several hours later on a $20,000 bail. The original charge against Knight that caused the warrant to be issued was a driving without a license charge and a missed court date.
When Knight was pulled over for the arrest, he was driving in the middle of two lanes just outside of Beverly Hills, California. When given a field sobriety test and breathalyzer in was determined that he was sober. Unfortunately for him, he was not released because he had skipped out on court back in February.
For the most part, Knight keeps out of the spotlight these days unless he is getting arrested for some petty offense. He doesn't tweet, although he has a twitter, and he doesn't make too many TV appearances anymore.
The Death Row Records founder helped propel acts like Tupac Shakur, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg to success, but has struggled financially in the past few years. He declared bankruptcy in 2006. Suge Knight's estimated worth is only $200,000 after Death Row Records fell apart. Knight has attempted to start a new record label called Blackball Records but is struggling to find talent to sign. Will Suge be able to stay out of jail? Or will the next time we see him in the headlines be another arrest?
