'Suicide Squad' Latest News & Update: Extended Edition Finally Out On Digital HD

The "Suicide Squad" Extended Edition is finally out on Digital HD, offering some footage that had been cut from the film's theatrical version.

The said edition runs for about 15 minutes longer than the original film and features lots of footage involving Joker which were not shown in theaters. This new cut also includes more scenes in which the squad closely interacts with each other, facilitating the overall pacing of the film.

One of the earlier scenes featured in the extended edition is where the prison guards fed Killer Croc. In the extended film, there is a little more dialogue both on the front and back end. It shows that there is an added exchange between Griggs and another guard before the goat gets thrown down into the sewer.

A closer look at the face of the new guard allows viewers to recognize David Ayer, who is the director of the film.

This is not the first time that directors found a way to add themselves into their films. One director who has always been known for including himself in his films is Quentin Tarantino. One of his most memorable scenes in his own film is his "I know how good my coffee is" conversation with Samuel L. Jackson in the movie "Pulp Fiction."

Ben Affleck is also known for starring in the film that he directs. In the movies "Argo" and "The Town," Affleck was featured both as an actor and a director.

Fans of "Suicide Squad" may now avail of the film's extended edition on Digital HD.
