Super Smash Bros 4 Gameplay Revealed: Pic of the Day Shows of Rosalina's Gravitational Pull Special Attack and New Beetle Item (PICTURE)
Super Smash Bros 4's last two Pics of the Day have revealed much in terms of gameplay. Monday's picture featured Rosalina and today's features a new item.
Rosalina is shown using her special attack, dubbed the Gravitational Pull, which is a move in Super Mario Galaxy.
"Pic of the day. Rosalina's down special move, tentatively called the Gravitational Pull, sucks up items and weapons. Weapons will be disabled when using this move, of course. You have to shake the Wii Remote to perform this move in Super Mario Galaxy, but you won't need to do that in this game," game developer Masahiro Sakurai wrote in the Miiverse. See the picture here.
Rosalina is one of several princesses featured in this game along with Zelda and Peach.
Today's picture shows off Link as he tests out a new item called The Beetle, which is from The Legend of Zelda series. In the picture the item is grabbing Marth and carrying him away.
"Pic of the day. The Beetle item from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is a comical item that grabs characters and carries them into the air," wrote Sakurai. See the picture and posting here.
Last week it was revealed that the ledge grab mechanics would be changed in order to better combat against people who "edge hogged." Now opponents would be able to combat people who would hang on the ledge so another player could not get back on.
"Pic of the day. There are many changes being made to attack and defense options for grabbing edges. In this picture, Link is actually trumping Mario's grab," posted Masahiro Sakurai on the game's Miiverse. See the picture here.
SSB4 is rumored to be coming out for the Wii U and 3DS sometime in March, although there has been no confirmation from Nintendo yet.
