Super Smash Bros 4 may have hinted at a possible new character in today's "Pic of the Day" as the game's developer Masahiro Sakurai showed off a picture of what appears to be a young princess.

"Pic of the day. Who's the girl next door, living in the haunted mansion? You'd better learn my name because it's"¦" Sakurai wrote on the Miiverse.

From the subtle hint of the mention of the "Haunted Mansion," perhaps the girl is from Luigi's Mansion 2. See a picture of the girl as she sports a red dress and shoes, as well as a scepter and crown.

SSB4 has been stacking up the Nintendo princesses as Peach, Zelda, and Rosalina have all been added to the game. In SSB Melee and Brawl for Gamecube and Wii, Princess Daisy is a trophy piece, and her color scheme is an alternate costume for Peach.

The newest confirmed addition to the game is, King Dedede, as he was announced a few week's ago on the Super Smash Bros site.

Kirby's large mallet carrying nemesis was in the last installment of the game, "Brawl" for the Wii console, as well.

"Pic of the day. Celebrating the launch of Kirby: Triple Deluxe in Japan, King Dedede joins the battle! Check out his evocative facial expressions on the official web site," Sakurai wrote on Miiverse. See the picture here.

The characters confirmed for the game so far are: Mario, Luigi, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Pit, Olimar, Toon Link, Princess Peach, Sonic the Hedgehog, MegaMan, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina, Zelda, and the Villager. King Dedede makes character 21.

The game is expected to hit the Wii U and 3DS late spring, but a release date has not officially been announced yet.
