Super Smash Bros 4 Roster: Zelda Returns to Series, but Where is Sheik? (PICTURE)

Super Smash Bros 4 unveiled a new addition to the roster today with a new pic of the day showcasing yet another princess, Zelda.

Princess Zelda, the namesake of the Legend of Zelda franchise, is the Princess Peach to Link's Mario.

This is Zelda's third appearance in the series after being introduced in SSB Melee for the Gamecube.

See screenshots of her here.

Zelda has always had the ability to transform into an alternate character named Sheik in both games prior, but in the new screenshots there does not seem to be any indication of this. Perhaps Nintendo is keeping a few things under-wraps.

Last week game director Satoru Iwata introduced a new character to the series, Princess Rosalina with Luma, during the Nintendo Direct conference.

He played a trick with a trailer as it showed the racers of Mario Kart 8 which then turns into a SSB4 trailer. Kirby and the other racers stop dead in their tracks as Rosalina with her star side-kick Luma, appear in the middle of the track.

Princess Rosalina is from Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii, and she will also be in Mario Kart 8 if the dual trailer is indeed a revealing.

In a posting from last week, the picture showed Princess Peach standing with Princess Rosalina who is in the forefront. A confused Mario has his hands on his head as he seems to accept his fate of having two princesses competing for his attention. See the picture here.

This weekend Rosalina's attack with Luma was also revealed as she was seen attacking Mario here.

"Pic of the day. Rosalina and Luma can be right by each other or set farther apart. They're both controlled by the player, so a smash attack can be done from far off. Remote control all the way!" the posting said.

SSB4 is expected in spring of 2014 although Nintendo has not officially announced the date.
