Band members from the rock band Superchick are going through the harder period of their lives.

Beginning of July, Matt from Superchick and his wife Nicole gave birth to a premature baby girl. Mother was doing well, but because the baby was born very premature, the band asked their fans to pray for the baby which was only 2lbs 4oz.

Superchick's fans joined in prayers and continue support them with their thoughts and encouraging messages on Superchick's social network even today.

Just few hours ago, Superchick posted an update regarding Matt's baby girl on their Facebook page, "Matt's daughter, who was born very prematurely, is still in the NICU and will be for some time. She's doing fairly well for being born that early, but she definitely needs all the support she can get."

However, the update from Superchick contained another serious prayer request. Superchick asks for the prayer support for one member of the band saying, "Additionally, a member of Superchick has just been diagnosed with inoperable cholangiocarcinoma (a type of liver cancer), and is starting chemo in hopes that the tumor can be shrank to the point of being operable."

Reasonably, as the band is going through those challenges, Superchick also mentioned that they are suspending touring at this time. Tricia, who is the lead vocal for the band, will be performing at the remaining show in August as a solo artist.

In the update on Superchick's Facebook page, the band stated, "Despite the storms we remain, and writing is our solace."

Superchick added, "The days we are given are gifts from above and today we remember to live and to love."

At the end, the band thanked all the fans for all the sincere prayers, love and support.
