Taylor Swift, Harry Styles Party Together After "Lame" VMAs Jab? / One Direction Defends Their Band Mate Against "Red" Songstress's Behavior [VIDEO]

While Taylor Swift didn't seem too pleased with her ex Harry Styles, of One Direction, at the 2013 VMAs, that didn't stop the songstress from partying with him after the awards show.

The DJ for the big after party posted a photo of the two, along with a couple others in a Grand Life Hotel.

"Hosting the VMA after party @grandlifehotels With Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran & Harry Styles," Instagram user "spikyphil" tagged along with the photo of the three musicians.

Notice how Swift and Styles are on opposite sides of the photo. Maybe they're not as cozy as we think.

The fact that the two were hanging out at the awards show is a bit of a surprise. Earlier in the show the Red songstress was caught on camera mouthing the F-word to her BFF Selena Gomez sitting right next to hear, as the One Direction boys took the stage to announce some bogus award.

Later in the show, Swift made the jab audible during her acceptance speech for winning Best Female Video for her hit single "I Knew You Were Trouble".

"Thank you. Wow. I want to thank the fans because I tweeted about this a lot. I really, really wanted this. I also want to thank the person that inspired this song, and he knows exactly who he is, because I got one of these!"

At the New York premiere for This Is Us, Styles' One Direction band mates defended their friend.

"We were a bit confused. We thought she was actually calling out Niall so the whole thing's a bit confusing," said Louis Tomlinson.

Liam Payne called her behavior "lame" and told the press: "I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award, it's like, concentrate on yourself!"
