Taylor Swift Opens "The Swift Center" in Nashville. Sixth- Songwriter of the Year Award. Taylor Swift opens Classrooms at the County Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Country music star, Taylor Swift will be receiving double the awards this week as she is doing her Grand Opening for "The Swift" center at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. The "Swift Center" will hold three classrooms and a lab for children who want to learn more about music and theatre. Taylor will also be recieving her sixth songwriter/artists of the year award from the Nashville Songwriters Association International at the ceremony Sunday night at the new Music City Center.
The "Swift Center" will be holding interactive labs, songwriting classes, dance classes, and music education for young children over two floors of the museum. Swift stated Tuesday that she was happy that the classrooms came first, as those were a priority for her and the museum. " In school, I was taught a certain amount about music, acertain amount about theatre, and that interest sparked something in me. It made me look elsewhere to learn much more about it". stated the now 23 year old, Taylor Swift. It wasnt but five years ago that the Country music star was singing about sitting in a classroom, and now she is one of the most praised singers in the country. The completed center will give the museum seven times more space than it originally had and is stated that all classes will geared towards all the age groups. Wether its listening to her songs or going to her "Swift Center", Taylor hopes that her fans will find their own way to express themselves.
