Tebow Will Play Wherever is Best For The Team Says Belichick, Will Patriots Use Him at Tight End This Season?

Belichick on Tebow

Tebow was actually a welcomed topic on Friday at New England Patriots practice.

After what the Patriots have been through these last couple weeks with Aaron Hernandez, talking about football is very welcomed, even if it is Tebow talk.

It didn't take long for a Tim Tebow question to get thrown coach Belichick's way on Friday. When asked how Tebow would be used Belichick responded saying, "We'll use Tim wherever we feel it's best for the team. ... He's got a great work ethic.".

This was a typical response for Belichick or really any coach that Tebow has had. No one ever questions his work ethic or desire to help his team win.

Of course, no one expected Belichick to give a straight answer on how they would use Tebow because they are honestly still figuring it out themselves.

With the Patriots getting more and more thin at the tight end slot, there has been speculation that Tebow could fill that role. It is a fun thing to think about, but players don't just switch positions easily in the NFL. It has been done, but it is a rarity. If people know anything about Tebow though, fan of him or not, no one would deny he is a football player and a strong one. So if anyone was going to take on the challenge, it would be Tebow.

Tebow up to this point in his young NFL career has only wanted to play quarterback. Playing behind the legend of Tom Brady, his chances of starting a game a quarterback are slim to none for the next few years at least. So Tebow might want to try something new like h-back or tight end just to see how he would do and if he could contribute.

Regardless, the Patriots have to be happy to at least have a great quality player and person in Tebow on their team right now. Tebow will definitely help that off of the field, now we just have to wait and see if he can help them on the field this year.

Do you think Tebow will play any tight end for the New England Patriots this year?
