‘Tekken 7’ Kuma & Panda News: Who Are The Furry Characters Coming In The Game's Home Version?

Bandai Namco has announced the news that "Tekken 7" will have Kuma and Panda. Fans of the series will be familiar with these two furry characters but for those who are not, read on.

In hindsight, it's a surprise that it took until "Tekken 7" to add Kuma and Panda. This shouldn't even be news considering these are original characters after all.

Kuma was actually part of the very first game and also appeared in the sequel. In "Tekken 3," Kuma II was introduced and he's no other than the progeny of the original character. Kuma is actually a Japanese word for bear.

Meanwhile, Panda first appeared in "Tekken 3. Kuma is attracted to Panda, but it seems the love is unrequited.

According to the news article from Forbes, Kuma and Panda in "Tekken 7" will also take their backstory with them.

For instance, Kuma is the companion/bodyguard of Heihachi Mishima, who taught the bear martial arts as well as the Japanese culture and traditions. Panda, meanwhile, is the bodyguard for Ling Xiaoyu.

Apart from Kuma and Panda, Master Raven and Bob were introduced as new characters. The former first appeared in "Tekken 5," and fans immediately took to her deadly ninjutsu skills. The American Bob, meanwhile, is a heavyset man who appeared in "Tekken 6" and uses Karate as his favored fighting mode. Despite his girth, Bob is very agile and very fast, and those who underestimate him immediately regret it

Kuma and Panda appears in "Tekken 7" in Japan so their jump to US shores is not at all surprising news.
