Teresa and Joe Giudice News: RHONJ Couple Couple Sell Properties Ahead of Sentencing
'Real Housewives of New Jersey' stars Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice are nearing their October 2 sentencing, that was originally scheduled for September 23, and they are making some serious decisions.
As their court date draws near, the reality couple decided to put several of their properties on the market, presumably as a preparation for forthcoming expenses that need to be covered such as payments to creditors for their bankruptcy case.
The Giudice couple faces charges of multiple counts of fraud including bank, bankruptcy, wire and mail, to which they have both pleaded guilty.
One of the Giudice properties that's currently up for sale is their $3.99 million New Jersey mansion, which they reportedly bought back in 2002 for a price tag of $530,000. It was only after multiple renovations and a decade's time that the couple actually moved into the mansion with their family.
Another priced possession for the Giudices that they were forced to sell was their West Haven Beach vacation house in New Jersey, which, reports claim, will be priced around the $300,000 range.
Teresa has allegedly called the selling of their properties a 'bittersweet' experience, as the properties hold many memories for the Giudice family, but given their current situation, they don't really have the option to keep them.
Teresa is expected to serve around 21 to 27 months in jail, while her husband, Joe, may be incarcerated for 37 to 46 months. The couple is reportedly requesting to be allowed to serve their jail time concurrently, for the reason that they want at least a parent left behind for their kids.
