Amazing Spider-Man 2 Movie News, Rumors: Cast Wants Marvel Crossover Between Spider-Man and Avengers (TRAILER VIDEO)

Many comic book and movie fans would definitely love to see Spider-Man/Avengers crossover film. However, due to current licensing issues, the possibility of a potential crossover film in the near future seems very unlikely.

However, if Disney and Columbia Pictures can make a comprise to allow the Marvel Super Heroes to join forces on the big screen, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" director Marc Webb and the cast of "The Amazing Spider-Man "2 are totally in favor of such an improbable effort. In a Yahoo! Movies UK interview, Webb and the all-star "Spidey 2" cast members Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone and Jamie Foxx all revealed that they would love to be part of a crossover film with the Marvel movie universe. However, they all give the impression that they are aware of the challenging logistics.

"Obviously big business and lawyers and rights issues are an obstacle for that," said Garfield in the Yahoo! Movie interview on the likelihood of him appearing as Spiderman in a movie alongside the Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man and the rest of The Avengers cast.

Webb does mention momentarily on previous efforts to have some of the Marvel film universe characters appear in the first "Amazing Spider-Man," which is fascinating.

"There were maybe efforts that were made, but obviously nothing came to fruition," said Webb to Yahoo! Movies UK.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti and Sally Field will all appear in the 2011 sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man film.

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is expected to arrive in American movie theaters on July 3, 2012.
