'The Biggest Loser' Season 16 Spoilers: Three Contestants Eliminated, Two Join 'Comeback Canyon'

NBC's 'The Biggest Loser' surely inspired many viewers to adopt a healthier lifestyle over the years as they've watched contestants change their poor dietary habits and exercise regimes for the chance at the prize money. Season 16 of the popular weight-loss competition show aired its first episode on September 11, 2014 on NBC at 8 pm EST.

In the latest season, 20 new candidates have joined the show. All the contestants have been former athletes and have taken up the challenge of regaining their healthier lifestyle through the show. The cast includes a former WNBA player, a former NFL player and an Olympic medalist among several other renowned athletes and players competing for a prize of $250,000 and the title of "The Biggest Loser".

Trainer Dolvett Quince and two new trainers namely Jessie Pavelka and Jennifer Widerstrom have joined the show, as Alison Sweeney hosts it. As previously reported, Jillian Michaels has decided to discontinue her participation on the show.

'The Biggest Loser,' which airs on NBC exclusively, is the first reality competition series that offers severely overweight participants with the opportunity to undergo a physical change without surgery. The series offers an opportunity and encourages the candidates to lose pounds and gain a healthy lifestyle while competing for prize money of $250,000.

The unscripted reality show collects willing participants from around the country, while providing them with approved weight loss techniques, but makes them face and do battle with their temptations.

So far in Season 16, three contestants have already been eliminated and sent home, Zina Garrison, Vanessa Hayden, and Andrea Wilamowski.

Beyond that, two contestants have been sent to "Comeback Canyon" (a new element to the program), Emmy Lou Munoz and Chandra Maple. Fans will get to see them back in the competition, hopefully with some big numbers, achieved on their own.
