"The Blacklist" is a new TV show drama that premieres tonight on NBC. The all-star cast includes James Spader, Megan Boone, and Harry Lennix. The trailer reveals that Raymond Reddington, played by James Spader, is one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives who surrenders unexpectedly at the FBI headquarters. He claims that he has a list of terrorists that the government does not even know exists yet, but he will only share the list with FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone).

The pilot episode of "The Blacklist" has similarities to the Hannibal Lecter series in the sense that Reddington takes a paternal interest in Keen. He will only speak to her at the FBI and no one else but gives no reasons for this strange request. In the first pilot episode of "The Blacklist" he helps Keen track a highly dangerous terrorist and brings him into custody. His only hints at a motive are that he wants to "make her career."
