'The Digital Age' With 'Bellarive' on Evening:Morning 2013 Tour - Win VIP Tickets To See Them LIVE
'The Digital Age', a band that originated out of the 'David Crowder Band' has overcome many obstacles to be able to get where they are today. Four members that were on the track to stardom, left and started a completely new band out of the good faith in one another for it to work. 'The Digital Age' set out to make around the same music as the 'David Crowder Band' with the melody and undeniable hooks withinn the songs, but adding the qualities of the Church as well. Yet, the 'Digital Age' was still shocked when they were put into the sub-category of 'Modern Worship'. "When we met with our record label after the record was done, they gave us an assignment to categorize ourselves in a couple of words. We laughed and they replied, 'We know this is really difficult.' The term 'modern worship' is played out; all these other things are played out. All we're trying to do is write music that sounds like what we listen to, but worship music specifically. You have to be aware of the church and make it accessible. But we don't want to fit into any mold. Worship music needs to meet the broader culture to make it more relevant."
The bands EP, 'Rehearsals', was released back in 2012 and hit major charts within it's first week by hitting No.1 on the iTunes Christian Charts, No. 21 on the Top Christian and Gospel Charts, as well as, No. 12 on the Heatseekers chart. After nearly a year wait, the anticipated album of 'The Digital Age' "Evening:Morning" was finally released back in August. The album went No.3 on Christian Charts and No. 100 on the Billboard 200. 'The Digital Age' recently just announced that they are going tour for their "Evening:Morning" album.
